🚓 Riverside Beat Team – Weekly Round-Up 🚓

It’s been another busy week for the Riverside Beat Team, working to keep our communities safe, tackle crime and engage with residents across the beat area.

👮 Community Engagement

PCSOs Hafsa and Phil attended the SAPA Play Association, while PCSO Phil also visited Hazel School for sports day and end of term, helping to build positive relationships with young people and staff and strengthening links within our community.

🚲 Cycle Crime Prevention

Cycle security has remained a priority this week. PCSO V hosted a Bike Register event at Castle Gardens, while PC Fabian and PCSO Hafsa supported a Dr Bike session for NHS staff, providing crime prevention advice and promoting safer cycling.

🔎 Investigations & Arrests

PC Jess and PCSO Hafsa carried out CCTV enquiries following a theft from a motor vehicle. In addition, PC Callum and PC Jess assisted in locating and arresting a number of a wanted individuals as part of ongoing policing activity and Investigations. 

🚔 Operation Clover – End of Term Patrols

Riverside officers joined colleagues from the Neighbourhood Policing Team to conduct high-visibility patrols across Leicester city centre at the end of the school term. Officers engaged with young people, provided reassurance to businesses and members of the public, and worked proactively to prevent anti-social behaviour.

⚡ Operation Pedalfast

PC Callum and PCSO V joined City Neighbourhood Officers and Immigration Enforcement colleagues for e-bike and e-scooter safety checks in the city centre, helping to improve road safety and address community concerns.

🎓 Training

PC Fabian has completed his Personal Safety Training refresher, ensuring officers maintain the skills required to keep themselves and the public safe.

⚽ Weekend Policing

This weekend, PCs Fabian, Jess and Callum, alongside PCSO Phil, will be carrying out World Cup policing duties to help keep visitors, supporters and local communities safe.
